Challenge

Our client needed skilled GIS Technicians to support the review, processing, and preparation of site plan-related CAD and GIS files for digital mapping and web-based publication. The roles required managing a high volume of mapping projects while ensuring accurate geolocation, maintaining mapping consistency, and integrating spatial data for publication. Success depended on strong technical expertise, meticulous quality control, and the ability to collaborate closely with the Siteplan team to meet project timelines.

Solution

ClearBridge provided GIS Technicians with extensive experience in QGIS and GIS data management. Our consultants quickly integrated with our client’s Siteplan team, taking ownership of reviewing and processing site plan files, importing DXF and DWG files into QGIS, assigning coordinate systems, and producing publication-ready deliverables, including GeoJSON, DXF, PDF, and footprint files.

Leveraging expertise in QGIS, AutoCAD Map 3D, GeoJSON data formats, and advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, our consultants ensured accurate lot and block cross-referencing, maintained data integrity, and performed rigorous quality control throughout the mapping process. By following established workflows and communicating effectively across teams, they helped streamline the preparation of spatial data for web publication.

Impact

With the right GIS expertise in place, our client improved the efficiency and accuracy of its site plan processing workflow while maintaining high standards for data quality. Our consultants enabled faster turnaround of publication-ready mapping files, reduced manual errors through consistent quality assurance, and supported the successful integration of spatial data into our client’s web-based platform. As a result, the organization was able to manage multiple mapping projects more effectively while delivering reliable, accurate digital mapping resources to its stakeholders.
