Our government client needed to strengthen its network and application security across a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environment while supporting sensitive, mission-critical workloads. The effort required advanced NSX-T security design, deep knowledge of vDefend capabilities, and a consultant with Top Secret clearance who could operate within strict compliance and security constraints, without disrupting existing operations.
Solution
ClearBridge provided a Top Secret–cleared Senior VMware NSX / vDefend Consultant to lead the design and deployment of vDefend products and solutions. Our consultant applied VMware best practices to implement NSX-T Advanced Security use cases, including vDefend firewalling, Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), AVI load balancing, and tenant-level security, as well as north-south security. Working within the broader VCF stack, our consultant provided hands-on expertise and strategic guidance to ensure a secure, scalable architecture.
Impact
Our client achieved enhanced network segmentation, threat protection, and application delivery security across its VCF environment. The vDefend implementation improved visibility and control over east-west and north-south traffic, reduced security risk, and positioned the organization with a resilient, future-ready VMware security architecture aligned with government security standards.
