Challenge

A growing multi-site organization needed to modernize and expand its infrastructure monitoring capabilities to improve visibility, performance management, and operational resilience across its distributed IT environment.

ClearBridge provided a Senior SolarWinds Deployment Engineer to deploy and optimize the SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted Platform. The environment supported 7 sites and planned to expand to 13 locations, increasing complexity across networking, wireless infrastructure, servers, security devices, and remote connectivity.

The organization faced several operational challenges:

  • Limited centralized visibility across expanding infrastructure environments
  • Increasing complexity in managing network, server, firewall, and wireless performance
  • Need for proactive alerting and observability enhancements
  • Supporting reliable VPN connectivity and performance for 150+ remote users
  • Ensuring scalability as additional sites and monitored devices were added
  • Strengthening reporting, performance analytics, and access controls across the monitoring platform

The infrastructure included a broad mix of enterprise technologies across each site, including:

  • Palo Alto firewalls
  • Cisco switches and wireless access points
  • Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers
  • InfoBlox appliances
  • Windows, Linux, SQL, virtual, and physical servers
  • OpenGear remote access devices

Our client required an experienced consultant capable of architecting, deploying, automating, and optimizing a scalable observability solution while minimizing operational disruption.

Solution

Our Senior SolarWinds Deployment Engineer led the implementation and optimization of the SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted Platform across the organization’s distributed infrastructure.
