Our client, a leading technology vendor, is in need of a VMware Build Engineer for a 9 month contract engagement. This individual will be working primarily remotely with occasional travel to our clients site as needed. This individual will be responsible for the deployment and integration of 3rd party products in services in a greenfield datacenter environment. The candidate should be comfortable deploying, updating and interacting with VMs. This person will be building out a net new system and be responsible for integrating multiple technologies. They should have extensive experience building infrastructure including OS Image Lifecycle, STIG Processes and troubleshooting and debugging any issues.
Required Skills:
- Extensive VMware experience
- Expert Linux Skills
- Working knowledge with container platforms (preferably Kubernetes)
- Ability to travel up to 30% as needed domestically
- Experience installing, patching and configuring software and virtualization products on top of HPE software
- Experience building infrastructure including OS Image Lifecycle, STIG processes and troubleshooting and debugging issues
