Our client, a large government integrator located in Norfolk, VA is looking to hire a TS/SCI cleared Network Engineer for a 12-month contract. The consultant will be working onsite, providing technical advice to the government on matters relating to delivery and access to services through innovative, approved network engineering processes. The consultant will analyze voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites.
The consultant will be tasked with providing network engineering support for installations, maintenance and Navy integration projects. The consultant will plan network layouts and configure systems to user environments. As a technical site lead for Navy integration, the consultant will be troubleshooting and maintenaning desktop and network equipment, transporting, Navy Cyber/Information Assurance compliance, processing and creating technical documentation submissions IAW applicable Navy processes.
The consultant will also provide direct support to other sites as directed by the C2F N6.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of Network Engineering experience
- Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot Multicast
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot DMVPN and GRE tunnels
- Bachelor’s degree – may substitute for 9 years of experience
- Must possess a current CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
- Must possess a completed CCNA certification.
- Must complete a CCNP certification within twelve months of hire.
- Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access
Desired Skills:
- Completed CCNP Routing and Switching or CCNP Enterprise
- Knowledge and experience with VoIP/collaboration systems
- Knowledge and experience with HAIPE-based encryption devices
- Knowledge of Virtualization technologies
- Knowledge and experience with data center networking
- Experience with firewalls and firewall rule sets
- Understanding of network virtualization
- Understanding of concepts presented in the VMware Data Center Virtualization
