Our client, a leading government technology service provider located in Washington D.C. or Mount Weather in Bluemont, VA, is in need of a Top Secret Cleared Senior Network Administrator for a 6 month contract to hire. The Senior Network Administrator will work onsite daily and will be responsible for managing and supporting Cisco and Juniper wide and local area networks. This will include performing operational tasks, troubleshooting connectivity issues, assisting application programmers, route map route redistribution, static routing, Port-channeling, VPC’s, trunking protocols, SLA tracking, supporting stackable, StackWise virtual and/or VSS, ensure network performance, evaluate changes, and maintain infrastructure in line with STIG guidelines.
Required Skills:

5+ years of network administration / engineering experience

Strong recent Cisco and Juniper routing/switching experience

Understanding of Layer 1, 2 and 3 troubleshooting and technologies

Experience with Hardware equipment: (Not all are required)

Cisco Routers (25xx, 26xx, 36xx, 38xx, 45xx, 92xx, 93xx, 12xx series)

Catalyst (29xx, 35xx, 37xx, 45xx, 55xx, 65xx series)

Nexus (1k, 2k, 5k, 7k), ASA 55xx, Firepower, (FTD) ACS, ASR 1004

Juniper routers/switches/Firewalls (SRX/EX)
