Our client, a large healthcare client, is looking to hire a Network Engineer for a full-time position, which is primarily remote. There will potential need to go to Richmond data center as part of this role. The engineer will be responsible for designing and architecting enterprise level networks as well as managing the core network environment and data center/data center communications. The engineer will install and configure all network hardware and equipment. The engineer will plan and implement any improvements, modifications, or replacements of network infrastructure components.
The engineer will also monitor and analyze network performance across the organization’s LANs, WANs, and wireless deployments as well as identify and remedy network performance bottlenecks.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 12 years of network engineering experience
- Must have CCNP level skills (does not need certification)
- Ability to inspect, maintain, and where necessary replace network cabling, voice/data jacks, and other network-related equipment
- Hands-on technical experience and knowledge or networking systems, protocols, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologies
- Experienced with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Working technical knowledge of current network hardware:
- Cisco 9k switches
- Cisco ACI
- Cisco Nexus Switches
- Candidates who are within a few hours of Richmond, VA are required for first 3 months
