Our client, located in Seattle, WA, is currently in need of a Senior VMware VKS Consultant for a 4 month contract with strong potential for extensions. The consultant will work remotely in support of the design and deploy of a Kubernetes/VKS solution within the vSphere 8 environment. The consultant will be responsible for working on implementing and maintaining GitOps and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Flux or Argo CD, writing and maintaining high quality, production ready code for automation, building and managing IaaC principles and tools, support and optimize vSphere 8 and vCenter, integrate Kubernetes platforms with vSphere 8 infrastructure, ability to troubleshoot across Kubernetes, containers, vSphere 8 and CI/CD pipelines, act as an SRE/DevOps partner to engineering teams, as well as collaborate across infrastructure, platform, and application teams across the enterprise.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with design, deploy and operations of Kubernetes and container platforms, particularly VMware VKS
- Experience implementing and maintaining GitOps and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Flux or Argo CD
- Strong experience with VMware technologies such as vSphere 8 and vCenter
- Senior experience collaborating across multiple teams, acting as an SRE/DevOps partner
