Our client, a large government systems integrator located in Springfield, VA, is looking to hire a Secret cleared ServiceNow Architect for a 12-month contract. The consultant will be working onsite and joining a new, agile digital transformation initiative to improve the program’s global effectiveness, increase operational visibility into its IT assets, and drive cost savings by implementing the full range of ServiceNow capabilities, to include IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM). The consultant will be building customized ServiceNow applications, applying technical expertise, leverage a variety of software engineering techniques, and building and refining business logic to enhance team capabilities, improve security, and maximize ServiceNow ROI.
The Architect will assess the current solution and system limitations, defines, and designs system specifications, and evaluates input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. The consultant will perform management and configuration of ServiceNow applications and modules, product development, service automation, and system integration. The consultant will participate in all SCRUM ceremonies and/or discussions with team members and stakeholders and modify the solution based on customer requirements. The Architect will collaborate with other teammates to perform code reviews, discuss new developments and projects, and shadow other junior admins/developers as needed.
Required Skills:
- Must have active Secret clearance
- 20+ years of technical experience with Web development, including X–HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, or Angular and at least one of the following back–end technologies: JavaScript, PHP, .NET, Java, or ColdFusion
- 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow development, including core ITSM tables, Glide, scripting, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom apps, and development methods.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow update sets and experience with deploying ServiceNow applications and configurations in to different ServiceNow instances
- Bachelor’s degree – may substitute if the candidate has 8+ years of ServiceNow experience
- Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level III access upon
- Must be willing to obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.

- Experience with ServiceNow SERVICE PORTAL design and end-user/customer experience such as development of professional, compelling design and graphical interface for Service Portal
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services protocols

- Experience with Agile development methodology, requirements management, JIRA (or similar RTM platforms)
- Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP
