Our client, a leading open source software solutions provider in Fort Worth, TX, is in need of a Secret cleared Sr. Red Hat Consultant for an initial 3 month contract. The Sr. Red Hat Consultant will work onsite in an Architectural / Advisory capacity to lead a team of Red Hat Engineers in creating a technical roadmap to transition legacy customer applications from Solaris to RHEL (32 bit to 64 bit). They will be responsible for grouping the legacy applications in logical categories and developing playbooks for each. The playbooks will provide technical guidance for customer engineers to migrate their applications.
Required Skills:
- Must have an active Secret clearance
- Willing / able to work onsite in Fort Worth, TX.
- Some level of hands on experience (within the last 5 years) with C / C++ to help advise the customer on best practices for migrating their application architecture from 32 bit to 64 bit.
- Experience with SELinux.
- Experience grouping legacy applications in logical categories and developing playbooks.
- Experience developing technical roadmaps to transition legacy applications, preferably from Solaris to Red Hat Linux.
