Our client, a large government integrator located in Hampton, VA, is looking to hire a Secret cleared Network Engineer for a 12 month contract. The consultant will be working onsite at Langley AFB but will require installations across supported sites in the Hampton Roads area.
The consultant will be responsible for planning the overall network layouts and configuring systems to user environments. The consultant will analyze network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements. The Network Engineer will support the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed. The consultant will also be expected to provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
Required Skills:
- Must possess 5 years’ experience specifically in a network engineering role
- Must be well versed in all aspects of network administration and engineering
- Must possess an active Secret clearance (TS SCI is preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work experience
- Have a Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent IAT Level II certification)
- CCNA required (CCNP preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of firewalls, Cisco IOS/XE Switches, and DISA STIG compliance
- Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network analysis and design required.
- Advanced knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software required
