Our client, a luxury goods retailer located in northern NJ, is looking to hire an experienced and motivated Salesforce Core Developer for a full-time remote role. The developer will work on the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable future state system design across the client’s core Salesforce platform. The position requires a strong blend of programming expertise, dedication to data integrity, and the ability to translate business requirements into desired Salesforce solutions.
The developer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of custom solutions using Apex (Classes, Triggers, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex), Visualforce, and the Lightning Component Framework (LWC and/or Aura). The developer will also implement complex business processes using declarative tools such as Flow, Process Builder (or Flow Migrations), and Workflow Rules, knowing when to choose between low-code and code-based solutions. The candidate will also develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware tools such as Mulesoft.
The Salesforce Core Developer will also write and execute comprehensive unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans to ensure code quality and system reliability.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on, professional development experience on the Salesforce Platform.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
- Proven proficiency in Apex programming (triggers, classes, controllers) with a strong emphasis on scalable and bulkified code.
- Expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC) and/or Aura Components for building modern, responsive user interfaces.
- Solid understanding of the Salesforce data model, security model, and declarative automation tools (Flow).
- Experience with Salesforce integration patterns and technologies, including REST/SOAP APIs.
- Proficiency with SOQL and SOSL for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Github, and CI/CD/DevOps methodologies.
- Must be ok with occasional in office work for meetings and collaboration (a few days per month)
Desired Skills:
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
- Additional certifications such as Certified Administrator, Application Architect, or Data Architect are a plus.
- Experience with specific clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Industry Clouds like Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud).
- Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and general web development technologies.

The expected base salary range for this role is $130,000 – $140,000 per year.
The posted range is an estimate, the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
