Our client, a large professional services firm, is looking to hire a Senior Consultant to support a 3-4 month migration from IBM Maximo 7 to Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8 or 9. The project is still in the scoping stage, the team is forecasting the business, and currently have no IBM technical expertise to execute. IBM Maximo 7 is end of life and requires upgrade. IBM MAS 8/9 will be running on Red Hat OpenShift, which will in itself require some additional work.
The consultant will need to train the customer on OpenShift. They will need to help the customer decide if they will run OpenShift in their data center or in Azure/AWS. They will need to complete the data transformation, and finally the overall migration over to MAS.
Required Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of Maximo integration framework, business application technical design and MAS Devops implementation
- Extensive knowledge of integrating legacy / COTS systems with IBM Maximo
- Strong experience with OpenShift deployments of Maximo and supporting cloud delivery of the application
- Ability to train customer on both OpenShift and MAS application
