Our client, a luxury goods retailer located in northern New Jersey, is looking to hire a Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Full Stack Developer for a full-time hybrid role. They will be expected to work onsite 3 days per week in the New Jersey office. The developer will work to design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable e-commerce solutions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both front-end and back-end development on the SFCC platform, focusing on the Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA) and integration with external systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of e-commerce best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure e-commerce applications on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform.
- Work across the full SFCC stack, including front-end development (Storefront) and back-end development (Controllers, Models, Pipelines/Scripts, Services).
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and SFCC best practices (e.g., SFRA, B2C API usage).
- Re-configure system product object types and custom objects with necessary attributes according to business requirements.
- Create and analyze current data jobs being trafficked through a middleware to SFCC.
Front-End Development (Storefront)
- Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS3/SASS/LESS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Customize and extend the SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) framework to meet business and design requirements.
- Implement client-side features and optimize the user experience (UX) and site performance.
- Work with front-end frameworks like React/Vue for Composable Storefront, if applicable.
- Work source code designs and establish external facing websites for specific customer use cases.
Back-End Development (Platform)
- Design and develop server-side components using SFCC’s proprietary scripting language (JavaScript/Node.js).
- Utilize and configure Business Manager for site settings, catalog management, content slots, and promotions.
- Develop custom services and cartridges for complex business logic and third-party integrations.
- Manage the development of OCAPI and SCAPI integrations to connect with external systems.
Integration and Architecture
- Integrate SFCC with various internal and external systems, such as Rootstock ERP, Salesforce CRM, Order Management Systems (OMS), Payment Gateways, and Marketing platforms using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Collaborate with Architects and Technical Leads to define technical requirements and system design.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, integration, and deployment issues.
Quality & Mentorship
- Conduct code reviews, ensuring code quality, security, and adherence to performance standards.
- Contribute to technical documentation, development guidelines, and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing with Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware).
- Deep understanding and proven experience with the Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA)
- Strong proficiency in both front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (SFCC Controllers/Scripts, Business Manager) development.
- Expert knowledge of web development standards, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and cross-browser compatibility.
- Hands-on experience with SFCC integration best practices, including OCAPI and/or SCAPI and general REST/SOAP web services.
- Experience with version control systems (GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, dev-ops).
- PWA-Kit Knowledge
Desired Skills:
- Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer and/or Architect certification.
