Our client, a leading Network Maintanance and Optimization company, is in need of an F5 Resident Engineer for an initial 12 month contract onsite in Salt Lake City, UT. The F5 Resident Engineer will be supporting an enterprise DoD environment with a focus on the administration, configuration and troubleshooting of the customers F5 environment, specifically The F5 VIPRION platform as well as leading an enterprise design and migration effort to F5 Virtual Edition. The F5 Resident Engineer will also be tasked with performing a current assessment of the current F5 configuration, help to develop a hybrid cloud architecture via AWS Gov Cloud, on-prem Viprion and F5 modernization, etc. The F5 Resident Engineer will provide SME level ops, maintanance and troubleshooting.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience working as an F5 Administrator / Engineer.
- Experience providing troubleshooting, administration and configuration support of the F5 VIPRION platform.
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
- Prior experience supporting the design / migration to F5 Virtual Edition.
- Experience implementing F5 revision upgrades.
- Knowledge and experience of networking concepts, protocols and technologies including, TCP / IP, DNS, SSL / TLS, HTTP and routing.
- Experience with F5 BIG-IP platforms to include, LTM, GTM, ASM, APM and iRules scripting.
Preferred or Nice to Have Skills:
- Some level of F5 certification.
- Operational experience with other network platforms like Cisco, Palo, etc.
