Our client, a telecommunications company in Denver, CO, is in need of a DOCSIS Architect for an initial 12-month contract, likely to extend. Working in a hybrid model, four days/week onsite, this position will join a dynamic team of architects and engineers addressing a variety of network engineering projects, including Distributed Access Architectures (DAA), 10 Gig access roadmaps, standardization of access appliances and other network access technologies. Initial projects will be related to the development of technical requirements for DOCSIS 4.0 RPDs and vCMTSs, and working with vendors to develop DOCSIS 4.0 equipment for deployment. There will also be opportunities to shape the definition of DOCSIS 5.0.
The position must have an aptitude for architecting end-to-end Access Network systems.
Required experience:
- 5+ years of technical experience with strong DOCSIS and Cable industry architectures
- Access networks, including DOCSIS, Distributed Access Architectures (DAA), FTTx, 5G RAN
- Access Devices and/or network virtualization, SDN/NFV, NETConf, YANG
- Experience managing vendors regarding product and service deliverables
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
Preferred experience:
- Passive Optical Network (PON) exposure is a plus
- Wireless LAN technologies including IEEE 802.11ax and exposure to IEEE 802.11be
- Experience leading teams
