Our client, a leading Government Systems Integrator, is in need of a DevOps Engineer for an initial 12 month fully remote contract in support of an enterprise federal health customer. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure in AWS, building and optimizing CI / CD pipelines to automate application deployment, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using terraform, supporting event-driven AWS architectures, including, Lambda, API Gateway and other serverless services and troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and CI / CD pipelines.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience working as a DevOps, Cloud and / or Infrastructure Engineer.
- Experience provisioning and managing AWS resources, to include:
- Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon SQS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon EventBridge, Amazon VPC, AWS IAM, AWS Step Functions, AWS Transfer Family.
- AWS Cloud Services and Architecture experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience building and managing CI / CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Git-based version control systems (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket).
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts to include, VPC, subnets, routing, NAT gateways, etc.
- Experience with CloudWatch.
Desired Skills:
- AWS Associate certs (Developer, Solutions Architect or Sys Ops Administrator).
- AWS Professional Certification (DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
- Experience with container orchestration using Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes or AWS ECS / ECR.
- Experience with Ansible or Puppet.
