Our client, located in Springfield, OH, is currently in need of a Dell Server Engineer for a 6 month contract. The consultant will work onsite in support of the physical deployment, configuration and support of Dell PowerEdge servers.
Responsibilities:
- Support day to day server data center activities
- LOIS parts management
- Provide infrastructure support, guidance and stability throughout the server operations
- LOIS parts management (will be trained on)
- Maintain documentation of the environment
- Coordinate customer cooling, power, containment, etc maintenance activities
- Perform BIOS lifecycle mgmt.
- Triage issues and tickets with Dell support
Required Skills:
- Ability to work onsite daily in Springfield, OH
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge Rack/Tower servers
- Experience with Dell OpenManage Enterprise and iDRAC
- Will need to complete Dell XE Server training modules prior to starting the project
- Experience with Linux
