Our client, located in St Louis, MO, is currently in need of a Dell Server Engineer for a 3 month contract. The consultant will work onsite in support of Dell PowerEdge Server and VMware operations.
Responsibilities:
- Act as primary onsite engineer managing day-to-day IT infrastructure operations
- Support and maintain VMware environment (vSphere, ESXi, VM provisioning)
- Manage Dell infrastructure including PowerEdge.
- Handle daily operational tasks including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Serve as L2/L3 support for infrastructure incidents and escalations
- Coordinate with Dell support for hardware/software issues
- Perform system health checks, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Execute patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities
- Support backup and recovery operations (Cohesity experience preferred)
- Document environment, issues, and operational procedures
- Act as primary point of contact for the customers IT teams and stakeholders onsite
- Coordinate with offshore (India) team for extended support and task delegation
Required Skills:
- Ability to work onsite in support of server operations
- Experience with VMware vSphere / server provisioning
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

- Experience with Cohesity

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $55 – 85 per hour
