Our client, a telecommunications company located in Englewood, CO, is currently in need of a CMTS DOCSIS Network Engineer for an initial 6 month contract. Working in a hybrid model with three days a week onsite, this role will join an existing team of 30 responsible for Access and CPE architecture for their red network including HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coax), and FTTH (Fiber to the Home) as part of the sustaining engineering team.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience of network engineering with layer2/3 and service provide route and switch
- Must have experience with DOCSIS and EPON standards
- DOCSIS 3.0 hands-on experience, exposure to 3.1 preferred
- CMTS platforms experience: Casa C100G, Arris E600, Cisco cBR8
- Switch platform experience: Cisco NCS/ASR and Juniper PTCQFX/ACX
- EPON platform experience: ADTRAN 95XX and SX-6210
- Routing protocol experience: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, v4/v6 multicast
- Ability to write technical documentation
- Ability to write and follow technical test plans
