Our client, located in Boston, MA, is currently in need of a CCIE certified Network Architect for a 10 month contract. The consultant will work onsite to deliver advanced network architecture, engineering, and operational support services. This role is expected to function at a strategic design and architecture level while also supporting critical operational needs as required.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily network operations to maintain uptime, performance, and operational continuity.
- Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting across routing, switching, and production Cisco environments (IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR).
- Assist with protocol redistribution, configuration updates, and change management activities.
- Support patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and provide optimization recommendations.
- Contribute to security hardening and assist during incident response efforts.
- Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, SAN mappings, and configuration records.
- Provide ongoing knowledge transfer to strengthen internal operational capabilities.
Required Skills:
- CCIE certified
- Ability to work onsite
- Experience across Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and IOS-XR

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $65 – 95 per hour
