Our client, a large health network located in Richmond, VA, is looking to hire an Active Directory Engineer for a 6-month contract to hire position. The consultant will be working primarily remote. There may be required meetings that the contractor would need to be onsite. Therefore, the contractor will need to be 1hr driving distance from the location.
The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of industry leading technologies, VMware, Active Directory, Microsoft OS’s, HP hardware (Blade Servers), Cisco UCS and Networking from both a design and implementation perspective. The candidate will be able to demonstrate technical capabilities for Active Directory, Microsoft OS and virtualization across the organization’s infrastructure, desktops, servers, management and administration.
This individual will play a leadership role in the team’s development and thus be responsible for providing input on our overall virtualization strategy, Cloud strategies, Active Directory design, Data Center strategies as well as driving technical readiness and development. This individual will develop and assist with design and implementation of Disaster Recovery strategy. This resource will provide peer guidance as well as knowledge transfer for basic troubleshooting for all server platforms configurations.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience in overall IT
- 5+ years technical experience with VMware, Microsoft OS, Active Directory (Design, migration and implementation)
- Active Directory engineering experience (not user experience)- Group Policy experience
- Ability to restructure and design Active Directory
- 3+ years’ experience managing server-based projects
- 5+ years system administration hands on experience with one or more of the following: VMWare, Windows
- At least 2 years technical implementation experience with storage technologies (SAN, FCP/ISCSI and NAS)
- Experience supporting for virtualization solutions (VMWare)
- Design and implementation of basic and customized technical Server solutions
- Ability to develop complete server based solutions
- Ability to provide platform server demonstrations and evaluations
- Ability to create supporting configuration documentation.
