Our client, a telecommunications company in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a .NET Developer for an initial 6-month contract with high likelihood of extension. This individual will work onsite 4 days/week and one day remote, and will support the development, modernization, and integration of a desktop-based, agent-facing telephony application as part of a large-scale merger and enterprise integration.
The .NET Developer will design, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows desktop applications using C#/.NET and WPF, while also supporting REST API integrations and connectivity with enterprise systems. This is not a web-only development role, and strong recent experience building and supporting desktop applications is essential.
Responsibilities include supporting application functionality related to telephony, call recording, audio/video processing, transcription, and biller connectivity; troubleshooting complex application and integration issues; and helping adapt and modernize existing application capabilities within the acquiring organization’s technology environment.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of professional C#/.NET development experience
- Strong experience developing and supporting Windows desktop applications
- Hands-on WPF development experience within the last 3 years
- Experience with ASP.NET and the broader Microsoft .NET development stack
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
- Strong application troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Experience working with complex enterprise applications and system integrations
Preferred Skills:
- Telephony or contact center application experience
- Experience with call recording, audio/video processing, or transcription applications
- Experience integrating applications with billing systems (Amdocs, ICOMS, CSG)
- Experience supporting application modernization, merger integration, or other large-scale enterprise integration initiatives
- Familiar with AI technologies
