Our client, a large systems integrator, is looking to hire a z/OS systems programmer for a 6-month remote contract with a strong likelihood of extension. The consultant will be responsible for installing customizing and maintaining IBM z/OS mainframe operating systems. The consultant will perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, security and automation.
Required skills:
- Strong SMP/E skills.
- zOSMF and rest-api experience. (software management component)
- GIT and USS/OMVS skills
- Experience with z/OS and ISV software installations
- Excellent Testing skills (design tests to validate software functionality, robustness, performance)
- Python and Rexx scripting
- Basic knowledge and experience with IBM software and mainframe ISV software customization.
- 5-10 years of working experience

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $45 to $71 per hour
