Our client, a luxury fashion company located in New Jersey is looking to hire a Sr Infrastructure/Security Consultant for a health check and assessment of their network, security and cloud infrastructure. The company has 235 employees, and a data center located in Jersey City, NJ. They do require a consultant who can be onsite for all or part of the assessment in the New Jersey office. They have had a mix of consulting companies and managed service vendors in the past, but do not have any real strategy or optimization around their solutions and many have been left not fully deployed.
The consultant should be able to provide assessments for all their infrastructure, security and cloud inventorying assets, assessing network performance and security, evaluating hardware and software, and ensuring compliance and disaster recovery plans are in place. The company currently utilizes Palo Alto firewall, Cisco firewall, Cisco Umbrella, Active Directory/SSO, and VMs through Azure/VMware. They have a multi-cloud set up with both AWS and Azure.
Required Skills:
- Experience providing infrastructure, cybersecurity and cloud assessments for companies in retail or fashion industry (other industries may be considered)
- Strong understanding of network design and architecture, firewalls, and policies
- Experience with Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls
- Able to evaluate network performance, including bandwidth utilization, latency, and connectivity.
- Check the health and performance of servers, storage systems, and other critical hardware components.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
- Assess the strength of password policies, multi-factor authentication, and other security measures.
- Experience creating roadmaps and remediation plans
- Able to create a tangible document which provides recommendations for improvement and enhancements
