Our client, a wireless systems integrator located in Homestead, FL, is currently in need of a RF Systems Technician for fulltime employment. The RF Systems Technician will work onsite and will be responsible for providing technical support on specialized communications systems and product applications.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in LMR, RF systems, or IT systems
- Exposure to RF Systems including microwave systems, antenna networks, transmitters or receivers
- Proficient in collecting and delivering technical data—including antenna power readings, cable sweep results, and IP traffic analysis—using a range of test equipment and tools such as communications monitors, T1 test sets, antenna analyzers, network analyzers, and command-line interfaces (Cisco/Linux) via SSH, FTP, and Telnet
- Knowledge around IT Systems such as Microsoft servers, Active Directory, Red Hat, Cisco, etc.
- Must be able to lift items that weigh 70lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to travel 15% (will be overnight stays)
- Ability to achieve FCC GROL license within 180 days of employment (Client pays for training materials)
- Participate in on-call rotation every 2-3 weeks
- Valid US driver’s license
Preferred Skills:
- Active FCC GROL license
- A 2-year degree in electronics is preferred, but 3–8 years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree
- Experience with Legacy Analog Radio or Advanced Digital P25 Systems
- Experience with various testing equipment such as communications monitor, T1 Test Set, antenna analyzers, IP network analyzers, Cisco & Linux command line, etc.
