Our client, a telecommunications and media company located in Stamford, CT is in need of a Business Program Manager for a 12 month contract with high likelihood of extension. The Program Manager will work onsite daily, overseeing a number of projects simultaneously related to automated customer service interactions with chat bots and AI customer service voice support. The Program Manager will serve as a key strategic partner to the Director of the group, providing mentorship to Project Managers and overseeing various aspects of the program from a high-level perspective. This role requires the ability to think critically, work independently, and drive program success through effective leadership and oversight. Key responsibilities will be driving project roadmaps, tracking timelines and budgets, and reporting program status to c-level executives.
This is not a technical position. While general understanding of AI and Chat Bot technology is a plus – this role is focused on business outcomes and so business acumen and functional leadership are the primary focus. Someone with a background purely as a Technical Program Manager will not be a fit.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years’ of functional Program and Project Management experience
- Experience in program management, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and driving the work and progress of different project managers
- Excellent business acumen, analytical thinking skills, and strategic foresight
- Experience presenting project roadmaps and status updates to c-level executives
Preferred Skills:
- Telecom or Cable industry experience
