Our client, a global software company, is looking to hire a Senior Test Automation Engineer for a 4-month remote contract to accelerate testing capabilities. In this role, the consultant will focus entirely on code-based test automation, architecting, building, and maintaining sophisticated frameworks. This is not a low-code testing or manual testing position; the consultant will work directly with a homegrown framework and write production-grade test automation alongside the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, scale, and manage a homegrown test framework as code.
- Spend the vast majority of your day writing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Embed alongside software engineers to write automated tests concurrently with feature development (in-sprint testing) while managing robust regression suites.
- Leverage modern AI tools and LLM assistants in the day-to-day workflow to maximize engineering efficiency and speed up script development.
Required Skills:
- Proven track record of standing up or managing advanced test automation frameworks from scratch (framework-as-code).
- Deep proficiency in Python
- Clear understanding of shifting testing left, balance of regression vs. in-sprint testing, and working in rapid agile cycles.
- Experience as a dedicated automation engineer, not a manual tester who occasionally runs scripts.
Desired Skills:
- Genesys Cloud Experience: Direct experience testing Genesys Cloud capabilities is a massive plus, specifically:
- Voice VA & Digital VA (Virtual Assistants)
