Our client, a large government contractor located in Woodland Hills CA, is in need of a Top Secret Cleared Linux Systems Administrator to work onsite for a 6-month contract with great chance of extension and/or full-time conversion. The Systems Administrator will manage Linux servers and workstations. Support bare metal and virtual machines. Install hardening and patching Linux operating systems. Troubleshoot end user issues. Be proficient in command line. Read, modify and create shell script and scripts in various other languages. Install and configure COTS software. Run queries on LDAP and DNS concepts.
Required Skills
- Associate’s degree and 11 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience OR Master’s degree and 7 years of experience; 13 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program level clearance (SAP/SAR) as a condition of continued employment
- IAT Level II certification (ex: Security+ CE) or greater or ability to obtain with 6 months of start date
- Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux OS
- Experience with NAS storage device (preferably NetApp) administration (ONTAP 8.x or higher ; CDOT)
- Understanding of Enterprise-level storage concepts to include all commonly-used RAID-levels
- Redhat Satellite Server (version 5 and version 6) configuration and usage experience
- Experience hardening Redhat systems with RMF and STIGs
- Networker backup and restore experience
