Our client, a leading government technology service provider located in Washington D.C., is in need of a Top Secret Cleared Senior Cisco Network Administrator for a 6 month contract to hire. The Senior Cisco Network Administrator will work onsite daily and will be responsible for managing and supporting wide and local area networks, performing operational tasks, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and assisting application programmers. They ensure network performance, evaluate changes, and maintain infrastructure in line with STIG guidelines.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of network administration / engineering experience
- Strong recent Cisco and Juniper experience
- Experience with Hardware equipment: (Not all are required)
- Cisco Routers (25xx, 26xx, 36xx, 38xx, 45xx, 92xx, 93xx, 12xx series)
- Catalyst (29xx, 35xx, 37xx, 45xx, 55xx, 65xx series)
- Nexus (1k, 2k, 5k, 7k), ASA 55xx, Firepower, (FTD) ACS, ASR 1004
- Juniper routers/switches/Firewalls (SRX/EX)
- Network Protocols and Technologies:
- OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, RIP, IGRP/EIGRP, IPv6, HSRP, VRRP, AAA, TACACS, RADIUS, ACL, IPSec, GRE, PPTP, PPP, HDLC, ISL, 802.1q, 802.1x
- Understanding of Layer 1 and 2 troubleshooting and technologies
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain an SCI from the DOJ
Preferred Skills:
- Cisco certifications: (CCNA, CCNP)
- Bachelors Degree, can be subbed with 2+ years of experience
