Our client, a large professional services partner, is looking to hire a Red Hat OpenShift Sr Consultant for a 6 month contract. The consultant will work remotely with up to 25% travel and should be located in PST. The travel will be if needed to support both prospects and customers. The west is a growth market and this person will play a major role in helping to build the cloud transformation practice. 75% of the work will be focused on the delivery side and 25% presales.
The consultant will be working with both new prospects in a presales capacity, as well as supporting the delivery and engineering teams for deployment. The consultant will be helping to create level of effort, resource needs & requirements, participating in discussions and demos related to architecture & engineering, deployment models and methods, storage and data management, Red Hat best practices, etc.
Required Skills:
- Senior consulting level skills with Red Hat OpenShift and its modules:
- Red Hat OpenShift Advanced Cluster Security (ACS)
- Red Hat OpenShift Advanced Cluster Management (ACM)
- Red Hat OpenShift on AWS (ROSA)
- Red Hat OpenShift Azure (ARO)
- Ability and expertise with discussing different deployment methods are available including self-managed, cloud native under ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS), ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift) and RHOIC (Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud) on AWS, Azure, and IBM cloud respectively
- Experience with Ansible to automate provisioning, configuration management, application deployment, orchestration, and many other IT processes
- Experience utilizing Red Hat Runtimes to develop and maintain cloud-native applications
- Experience with presales and discovery level discussions, demos, meetings, etc
- Experience with OpenShift deployment and delivery architecture and engineering
- Experience utilizing Apache Kafka for real-time data
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel when needed (up to 25%)
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Portworx for Kubernetes & data management
