Our client, located in NY, is currently in need of a NetApp Engineer for a 8 month contract. The consultant will work remote in support of a large NetApp AFF and StorageGRID environment with ongoing storage migrations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead and execute data migrations
- Providing consulting and expertise to analyze and evaluate complex customer solutions on large, technically challenging projects, and business strategies
- Recording and developing solutions for migration process, and related integrations issues, for clients
- Communicating and documenting migration progress and issues to stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Ability to work on a W2 basis
- Strong migration process experience
- Experience planning and performing data migrations with Datadobi StorageMAP (formerly DobiMigrate)
- Proficient understanding of NetApp’s ONTAP and StorageGRID platforms and features, specifically as a dependency for executing migrations
- Strong OnTap experience
- Strong understanding of object and file storage protocols and technologies (S3, CIFS, NFS)
- Experience working in a large storage environment in a regulated industry
