Secret Cleared Airborne Radar Systems Engineer

A large government contractor with offices in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, is in need of a Secret Cleared Airborne Radar Systems Engineer to work onsite for a 5-year contract. The Secret Cleared Airborne Radar Systems Engineer will be supporting our client’s advanced multi-function Radio Frequency (RF) capabilities development program centered around engineering, modeling, designing, and developing Army radar systems.

The Secret Cleared Airborne Radar Systems Engineer will be supporting advanced radar capabilities development, performing model based system engineering, provide subject matter expertise in the areas of radar, M&S, and software/hardware development for current and future Army radar and sensor systems. Perform development and subsystem integration. Research, design, develop, and integrate models for various types of radar systems. Provide analytic, statistic, radio frequency signal and visual analysis capabilities.

Required Skills 

  • Experience with airborne radar systems (e.g., counter-UAS systems)
  • Bachelors Degree (STEM) with 5 years of Systems Engineering experience
  • Developing, designing, allocating, managing user and system-level requirements; leading the development of the system architecture; evaluating design tradeoffs; balancing technical risk between systems; defining and assessing interfaces; and providing oversight of verification and validation activities
  • Experience in test and evaluation plannin
  • Systems engineering experience with radar/RF software (primary) and hardware (secondary) subsystems
  • Active DoD Secret or higher clearance
  • Experience prototyping/implementing signal and data processing or conducting systems analysis with MATLAB, Python, and C+
  • Experience in model-based systems engineering tools

Nice to have

  • 6+ years of experience in radar and/or other RF system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
  • Experience developing systems architectures/frameworks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
