Our client, a large government systems integrator located in Miami, FL, is looking to hire a Top-Secret SCI cleared Network Administrator for a 12-month onsite contact. The consultant will be responsible for providing training to end-users and less-experienced network personnel. The consultant will work to identify, analyze, and resolve network incidents and problems as well as provide network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
The consultant will determine network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. The consultant will also analyzes, administer, and maintain voice, video, and/or data communications networks. The consultant will utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) Principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
- BA/BS degree – may substitute additional years of experience. (need 9)
- Must possess a completed CCNA certification
- Must meet DoD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire
- Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features
- Ability to provide Tier I-II support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
- Experience with STIG patching, compliance, and other security activities
- Experience using Network management tools and concepts.
- Ideal candidate will have experience with distributed network environment.
- Experience with Cisco routers and switches, supporting DOD networks.
- Experience with creating network diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
- Experience with twisted pair cable, Patch Panels, and other layer 1 maintenance and installation.
- Candidate must be willing to perform systems maintenance duties after-hours and on weekends.
- Candidate must be willing to be on-call for troubleshooting and support.
- Must be willing to work shift work, weekends, and holidays when required.
